Insulator
After the deep analysis for the insulator, we selected polymer polyolefin that has a different degree of hardness at interior and exterior to prevent negative effect by sympathetic vibration. Moreover, this material has a quarter of permittivity compared to common PVC and we paid careful attention to strengthen the cohesiveness of its insulator and conductor in order to infill random space and maintain a high-quality signal transmission.

Every one of our products is totally "made in Japan" even down to minute component, all because for us to maintain our high standard of quality and reliability, it is essential to have every production system under our direct and strict control. The basic material is deoxidized phosphor bronze (1.4mm thick) for strength and secure contact. When connected, they can take over a 7kg load. The surface is thoroughly polished twice.
The manufacturing process is started from the foundation coating. The material which was punched out as a part is polished by hand piece by piece after machined barrel-polishing.
The plating of the P-046/C-046 is a combination of 24k gold and palladium which were selected as a result of repeated listening tests. The inner gold layer is 1.5 microns thick and the outer palladium layer is 0.3 microns thick.
30% glass-filled PBT has excellent machine-ability and provides superior electrical isolation. The highly rigid body of the P-046/C-046 effectively attenuates high-speed vibrations. All screws, which were originally designed for the P/C series, are made of highly rigid stainless steel which is a non-magnetic substance. Moreover, the cable cannot be separated from the plug by a force less than 30kg, a significant safety feature.
The screws of the P/C series are all made of highly rigid stainless so its screw head doesn't collapse even if you give them too much strength. In addition, because it is a non-magnetic material, it helps to achieve a high S/N ratio without being magnetized at its connection part.
The outer cover of the P/C series is made of PC (PolyCarbonate) for its rigidity and hardness. It helps to attenuate tiny vibrations in quick response and reduce distortions by its superior mechanical strength.

Oyaide designed the M1/F1 as their flagship model, making no compromise. The result is a sound that is powerful, dynamic, and highly sophisticated. The M1/F1 represents a major step forward in cutting-edge technology having inherited and improved upon the advanced technologies of our P/C series.
Based on the technology of M1/F1, we have achieved to create P-004/C-004 as its cost-performance by integrating the features of the M1/F1 and P/C series.
As well as other P/C series audio plugs, the core of P-004/C-004 is composed of the selection of materials, plating technology, and usability.
Inheriting the most core factor of M1/F1, the contacts of P-004/C-004 are made of beryllium copper which ensures mechanical integrity and high conductivity. The plating is also the same as M1/F1 which is a combination of platinum and palladium which was selected after repeated listening tests.
The body is made of 30% glass-filled PBT which has excellent machine-ability and provides superior electrical isolation. And the outer cover of the P/C series is made of PC (PolyCarbonate) for its rigidity and hardness. In addition, its "Black-Diamond" color of the P-004/C-004 outer cover represents its emotional and exciting sound. |

Contacts
As well as the Premium Series, M1/F1, we employed beryllium copper for its superior conductivity and excellent mechanical characteristic.
The contacts of P-004/C-004 are heat-treated to ensure electromechanical integrity. The 1.0mm thick and 6.0mm wide contacts provide a maximum contact area that has more than 8kg of holding power and reduce vibrations at the point of contact with no loss of signal transmission.

Materials
Because our products are so simply assembled, we have to closely examine the qualities of each component in detail. The characteristics of each component are harmonized to complete the M1/F1 as the ultimate product.
The inner housing of the M1/F1 is made from POM (Polyacetal Resin) for its machining characteristic and superior electrical isolation. And the outer casing is made of aluminum with alumite treatment for superior noise reduction.
These are cut out from 40 mm round bars by NC machining and then nearly 85% of the original material is discarded (POM - 90g to 20g / Aluminum - 190g to 25g). The exquisite cutting accuracy is brought by Japanese craftsmanship.

M1/F1 achieved to satisfy the requirements of high performance and safety. And its beautiful design was produced almost spontaneously as a result of pursuit for functionality. The inner housing is made from POM (Polyacetal Resin) for its superior mechanical strength, excellent vibration damping properties, and noise reduction capability. Because the turbulence of the magnetic field is easily generated around connectors, we employed an aluminum outer barrel for noise protection. This combination of materials actualizes a high signal/noise ratio and attenuation vibration. The maximum 17mm cable in diameter is installable. |
